Posted on Mar 31 2014 - 7:07pm

Dear Troop 280

As some of you may know I have been working on my Eagle project. I want to thank everyone that helped in the building possess, and know that this couldn't have been done without you. I still need help to transport and install them.

This weekend, March 1st and 2nd, We will be installing 8 benches at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Sea Center facility in Lake Jackson TX.

I need help: at least 4 scouts and 2 adult leaders and 2 open bed pickup trucks at Lake Jackson, we will arrive at 12am and stay until we are done. This will also include a tour of the fish hatchery. And a small campout for those of you who want to stay the night.

The event will include lunch, dinner; and breakfast for those of you who camp with us.

Pound House Pioneering

Posted on Nov 28 2013 - 9:06am

The Scouts made flint strikers and worked on the Metalwork Merit Badge at the Pound House on Saturday, November 16.  Four Scouts at a time in teams of two worked the forges to make flint strikers.  The other Scouts observed or kept busy by learning some woodworking skills. Parents came out for smores in the evening.  Everyone had an awesome time.
